Let's Go Outside!

A Hairy Situation

It's a rare thing when I get to brush Lucy's hair, let alone do something cute with it. But if we're going out somewhere, or if I can convince her that her friends are also getting their hair fixed at the very moment that she is, I can pull it into a ponytail or braid. Here's what I got to do the other day:

I think it turned out cute, despite the crooked part (which is a tough thing to get straight since her hair is so fine and she is constantly moving). The braids actually make her look 3 years old, instead of 4 or 5, which is what a lot of people-on-the-street think she is.

More to come!

Photoshop Phun

David bought me Photoshop Elements for our anniversary last year. I've been asking for it ever since my aunt raved about it when she got it. I've had some time to sit down and go through a few of the 10 free tutorials I got as a bonus for registering my product, and I learned how to do some cool stuff! I wanted to share what I've created after I learned about the "Layers" feature.

This is so much fun, and a whole lot easier than scrapbooking (and without all the little trims and pieces that my girls love to get into). Another cool thing about working in this format is that once I'm happy with the layers, I can save a copy of the original project as a .jpg which collapses the layers and allows me to upload it to Wal-Mart and I can pick up my creation in an hour.

Our Baby Girl

is pure sweetness!

Prima Ballerina

Here are a few pictures from the recital. The girls were SO cute, and I thought Lucy would be nervous, and she wasn't! She just sang right along with the songs. I took a video of one of the dances, but the quality isn't that great. Enjoy it anyway!
