
I found a sheet of paper in a notebook recently that had haiku written at least 2 years ago by my mom, my niece, my girls, and myself. I'm in "organization mode", and although I don't want to hang onto the paper, I do want to hang onto the haiku! So I thought I'd put it on my blog, which frankly, is more like my journal since no one really reads this thing.
A quick note about the title of this post:
Samurai warriors did more than just train for battle. In their "off hours" they were accomplished writers & poets, musicians, artists, gardeners, and artisans of all types. These haiku were written after we read about the talents of samurai warriors (in addition to their courage and training as soldiers).
Anyway, here are our haiku:
